How the source established it
The page does not say how the 86 outposts were counted. The displacement figures in the same section are attributed to B’Tselem data.
What the source does not claim
The report gives two different figures for the same count, and only one of its two language versions carries the second. The English edition opens with a “Key Data for 2025” list reading “86 new outposts, including 60 ‘agricultural farms’”. Its body, in the section “Record Number of Outposts”, reads 58. The Hebrew edition has no such summary list: it states 86 and 58, once, and the figure 60 does not appear anywhere in it.

“Outpost” renders מאחז (ma’ahaz), the word the source uses in Hebrew, and “settlement” renders התנחלות. The source’s table of new jurisdiction areas labels some entries “Legalization of an outpost”, and its text speaks of “the regularization of existing outposts”.

The displacement figures in the sentence that follows are not Peace Now’s own count. The report attributes them to B’Tselem: the full displacement of 15 Palestinian communities and the partial displacement of a further 7, in 2025.

The same report states that of the 54 settlements the government decided to establish in 2025, 26 were the regularisation of an existing outpost. The source's own words: “ In 2025 the government decided on the official establishment of 54 new settlements ”, of which “ 26 were the regularization of existing outposts ”.

Who counted
The count of outposts is Peace Now’s own; the page names no source for it. The displacement figures in the same section are attributed to B’Tselem data. Peace Now is an Israeli organisation, not a party to the conflict, operating under the authority of one party and documenting that authority’s acts.

The English edition’s “Key Data” list gives 60 “agricultural farms”. The body of the English edition and the Hebrew edition give 58, and the Hebrew edition does not print 60.

- The same sentence in the Hebrew version, which the page declares to be the same document, under the heading « מספר שיא של מאחזים »: « בשנת 2025 הקימה הממשלה 86 מאחזים , מתוכם 58 "חוות חקלאיות". »
- The English quoted here is Peace Now’s own English edition. Where the Hebrew is given, it is carried verbatim and any English for it is machine translation, not reviewed by a human. The two editions do not carry the same blocks: the English opens with a summary list the Hebrew does not have.
- Both editions were opened on 19 September 2026 at the addresses each page declares for the other, and both were read end to end on 20 September 2026, side by side. The English edition is dated “03.2.26” and the Hebrew edition “02.2.26”; this entry carries the Hebrew date. That site’s robots file forbids only /wp-admin/, declares no delay, and does not name us. Nothing was re-analysed here.
