What is most useful to us
| A mistake | a wrong figure, date, page or quotation. Tell us which entry and what is wrong — we would rather hear it from you than from someone who is not on our side |
| A dropped caveat | if a source qualified a figure and our entry does not, that is a serious error and we treat it as one |
| A correction published by a source | errata, retractions, new versions. We check monthly, and we still miss things |
| A source we should hold | especially one that documents a side our inventory is thin on |
What we will do with it
Every report of a factual error is checked against the document itself. If it is right, the entry is corrected, the previous version stays visible, and the change is dated and signed in the corrections log.
We do not correct silently, and we do not argue with the record.
What we will not do
We do not publish contributed findings, opinion pieces or statements. This is a register of what other organisations have established, not a platform.
Who runs this
Only Receipts is compiled by Adam Sijilmassi. The authority of anything on this site belongs to the organisations it cites, not to whoever compiled it — which is why the name appears here and in the corrections log, and nowhere else.
